Welcome to Sela Network

Artificial intelligence is evolving from text-generation tools into autonomous agents capable of real-world interaction. Yet a fundamental barrier persists: AI agents cannot reliably see, understand, and act on the web. Basic tasks that humans perform daily—logging into websites, completing purchases, comparing options across platforms—remain largely inaccessible to AI.

Sela Network addresses this fundamental infrastructure gap.

Sela Network is a decentralized web-interaction layer that enables AI agents to see, understand, and act on the web, overcoming the limitations of traditional scraping and centralized automation.

A global network of nodes executes browser sessions, structures data, and performs actions while ensuring data integrity and trust through technologies such as LLM-based parsing, DOM-to-JSON transformation, and zk-TLS verification.

Sela provides verifiable web actions, making it possible to automate advanced interactions such as login, booking, and payments. The system is designed around a Web3-based incentive flywheel connecting decentralized nodes, AI-agent demand, and a data/API marketplace.

Sela Network operates through three integrated technical layers:

The Web Transport Layer consists of a global network of distributed browser nodes executing actual web sessions. Unlike centralized browser automation services that rely on cloud-hosted instances, Sela leverages real user browsers distributed across 150+ countries.

This decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN) approach provides:

  • Bot detection resistance: Real user browsing patterns bypass modern anti-bot systems
  • Geographic distribution: Local nodes access region-restricted content
  • Horizontal scalability: Network capacity grows with node participation
  • No single point of failure: Service continuity despite individual node outages

Each node operates through a Chrome extension or standalone application, processing requests while maintaining session isolation and security through browser-native sandboxing mechanisms.

The web was designed for human visual consumption through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. AI agents require structured data formats.

Sela’s Semantic Interpretation Engine combines Large Language Models (LLMs) with DOM parsing to transform visual web content into structured JSON. This hybrid approach analyzes both the visual presentation and underlying document structure:

  • Visual element recognition: LLMs identify buttons, forms, and interactive elements by appearance
  • Structural analysis: DOM parsing extracts attributes, relationships, and semantic metadata
  • Schema normalization: Consistent JSON output conforming to Schema.org standards
  • Self-healing selectors: Automatic adaptation to UI changes without service interruption

When website layouts change, the system detects the modification, identifies equivalent elements through visual and structural matching, and updates selectors automatically. This eliminates the brittleness that plagues traditional web scraping implementations.

The fundamental challenge of web data is trust. How can anyone verify that data claimed to come from a specific source is authentic and unaltered?

Sela implements zk-TLS (zero-knowledge Transport Layer Security), a cryptographic protocol that proves data provenance and integrity without exposing sensitive information.

The zk-TLS protocol works through multi-party computation:

  1. A TLS session is established between the browser node and target server
  2. Session keys are split between the prover (node) and verifier (notary service)
  3. Both parties collaboratively decrypt responses without either having full access
  4. The notary generates cryptographic proof of the data’s origin and timestamp
  5. Zero-knowledge proofs enable verification without revealing the underlying data

This enables applications in finance, legal compliance, and regulated industries where data authenticity is essential.

Sela enables AI agents to perform complex web interactions with cryptographic proof:

  • Authentication flows: Login sequences including OAuth and multi-factor authentication
  • Transactional operations: Purchase workflows, form submissions, and multi-step processes
  • Data extraction: Structured information retrieval with provenance verification
  • Cross-site orchestration: Coordinated actions across multiple web properties

Each action generates an audit trail with cryptographic attestation, enabling compliance with regulatory requirements and legal admissibility.

The distributed architecture provides operational advantages over centralized alternatives:

Resilience: No dependency on single providers eliminates service interruption risks. Node diversity ensures continued operation despite regional outages or policy changes.

Scalability: Network capacity expands linearly with node participation. New nodes contribute immediately to processing capacity without infrastructure bottlenecks.

Censorship resistance: Geographic distribution and peer-to-peer coordination resist regulatory restrictions or service denial.

Cost efficiency: Token-based economics and resource sharing reduce operational costs compared to centralized cloud services.

Inconsistent data structures complicate AI agent development. LLM-based parsing without normalization produces variable schemas even for identical pages.

Sela enforces consistent output schemas based on industry standards:

{
"@type": "Product",
"name": "Product Name",
"offers": {
"@type": "Offer",
"price": "199.99",
"priceCurrency": "USD",
"availability": "https://schema.org/InStock"
}
}

This standardization enables:

  • Predictable data structures across diverse websites
  • Reduced error handling complexity in agent code
  • Rapid integration of new data sources
  • Long-term API stability

AI agents analyze real-time market data from exchanges, news sources, and social platforms, then execute trades through web interfaces. Cryptographic proofs provide auditable records of data sources and execution times for compliance verification.

Agents compare prices, inventory, and shipping options across multiple e-commerce platforms, then execute purchases through the optimal channel. Decentralized nodes bypass geographic restrictions and bot detection systems.

Systems continuously monitor government websites for regulatory updates, extract structured information from legal documents, and generate cryptographically-verified records of publication timestamps and content.

Agents systematically collect data from diverse web sources, maintaining provenance chains for all information. Verifiable timestamps and source attribution support research integrity and fact-checking workflows.

For developers building autonomous systems with frameworks like LangChain or AutoGPT, Sela abstracts web interaction complexity behind a consistent API.

Instead of managing browser automation, proxy rotation, CAPTCHA solving, and HTML parsing, developers access structured data through standardized interfaces. Self-healing selectors eliminate maintenance overhead when target websites change.

Individuals and organizations contribute computational resources by running browser nodes. Participants install client software, stake tokens, and earn rewards proportional to their contribution.

The decentralized infrastructure model creates opportunities for passive income through resource sharing, similar to other DePIN networks in storage, computing, and bandwidth.

Enterprises and applications requiring verified web data access Sela’s marketplace for pre-structured datasets and extraction templates. Cryptographic verification enables use in contexts requiring data authenticity guarantees.

AI agents require infrastructure that bridges the gap between traditional web architecture and autonomous systems. The convergence of AI agents and DePIN infrastructure represents a fundamental shift toward machine-driven internet usage.

As AI capabilities expand beyond text generation toward autonomous action, reliable web interaction infrastructure becomes essential. Current solutions—centralized browser services and brittle scraping tools—cannot scale to support an ecosystem of millions of autonomous agents.

Cryptographic verification: Sela is the only web interaction platform providing cryptographic proof of data provenance through zk-TLS implementation.

Hybrid parsing architecture: The combination of vision-based UI understanding with structural DOM analysis provides resilience against layout changes while maintaining parsing accuracy.

True decentralization: Unlike proxied access to centralized browser farms, Sela operates as a peer-to-peer network without dependency on single providers.

Economic sustainability: Token-based incentive alignment creates a self-reinforcing cycle where increased agent usage drives node growth, which improves network capacity and reliability.

The objective is to establish Sela Network as the foundational operating layer that enables AI agents to reliably use the internet—the HTTP/TCP/IP equivalent for the AI agent era.

In the same way HTTP provided a standard protocol for human web access, enabling the creation of the modern internet economy, Sela aims to provide standardized, verifiable web access for autonomous agents.

This infrastructure enables:

  • Autonomous economic agents conducting transactions across web platforms
  • Verifiable data provenance for AI training and decision-making
  • Decentralized coordination between agents and web services
  • Trustless verification of agent actions and outcomes

Integration begins with SDK installation and API key generation:

Terminal window
pip install sela-network
